Review on πŸ₯„ Spuni - Innovative Baby Spoon for 4 Months & Up, Giggly Green and Peekaboo Purple, 2-Pack: Revolutionary Feeding Solution! by Ricky Habbani

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Expensive, yes, but sure to be a favourite.

I initially rejected these spoons because of the price. I didn't understand how a spoon could be revolutionary enough to shell out $20 (look what I did there). After using regular baby spoons, I found that the tulip shape can be useful as my babies are very keen on breastfeeding. I ordered these spoons and I'm glad I did! Now he likes to eat a lot more. He practices diligently. With the other big flat spoons, he couldn't figure out how to slurp food himself, so I basically wiped the food off the side of his mouth for him and then caught everything he couldn't understand like a swallow. He sucks and cooks with them and automatically swallows when he empties the spoon. I still wish they were cheaper because I wish I could buy more but I can't justify $60 for 6 bullets no matter how good they are. .Read reviews complaining about sharp edges - we didn't experience that. Also read reviews that the spoon is too shallow/small for proper serving. My son is 5 months old and this portion is perfect for him to practice eating. I could see how tedious it can be to use this spoon on a 1 year old, but at that age they shouldn't be using the fixation reflex anyway - it's a beginner spoon, level 1. My only complaint is that so far it's - with a hard-shell case, the case does not "kink". The lid will slide off if you don't seal it with tape. which I won't do. For the price I would like to use the case as a travel case.

Pros
  • Solid feeding
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
