I have the signature Lizard Skin band on all three of my road bikes and it feels good and provides good grip. The problem I have is that since I'm not comfortable driving in drops I'm always on the hood and where my palms make contact with the steering wheel I get a lot of wear. Lizard Skin is a soft, white foam covered with a thin, adherent layer of colored leather. That thin layer wears off after a few months or half a year and reveals a white foam underneath and it looks bad and that's because I split my ride between three bikes so it's not very durable.
