I've been a cyclist and maintenance myself for a long time, but I never knew how to put tape on the handlebars. This stuff is easy to make and looks professional. Just watch the bevel and hold it tight enough. The silicone sticks to itself a bit which makes it hold tight. Can't comment on durability yet but I'm very happy with how easy it ran, how it looks and how comfortable it is to ride for a few months.

This is not an ESI Grips. The tape was very stiff and wouldn't budge when trying to wrap it. I had to try wrapping it three times to get it in the right spot for my hand to grab. They started falling apart before I even finished the second side of the handlebar. Buyers Beware of this fake company. Go directly to ESI Grips to purchase. They had great customer service and made me a repeat customer!

I was thinking of trying the RCT wrap as a replacement for a worn out Lizard Skinz bar tape as I am using ESI Chunky grips on another bike to great effect. other people managed to make real black silicone but not ESI. They match the gray (black lettered) grips I have on the bottom of my flip bars where the top is made of this silicone. who i love Installation is very easy as it does not stick to itself. Love this tape! I ride my bike on rough city streets year round and this tape handles it well. It dampens vibrations, protects against rain and sweat and still looks great after 5,000 miles. The only reason I'm swapping it out is because I made the mistake of using the included tape to secure the ends of the bar tape.
