I am an antenna specialist. I used a small Wi-Fi dongle for my desktop that was on the end of a 3ft USB extension cable. I replaced it with a new device. I had signal in a bar or two, now this is a full signal level. The speed test shows 87 Mbps and 10 Mbps download for a 100 Mbps service. My router is about 7 meters behind 3 walls. Satisfied. If you place some kind of metal plate, wire or better yet a piece of aluminum foil the same length as the antenna and 1" or 2" wide and on the opposite side of the direction of the router, about 1.5" behind the antenna, that is even more improve signal strength.
