This is a well made t-shirt and the fabric is a nice weight -- perfect for fall. I wear a size 14, usually order size L or XL in t-shirts and went with XL as this is described as a slim-fitting top. I'm glad I chose the XL as the fit is just right; the fit is trim but not at all tight and it just skims my body. The length extends to the lower hip, which is just how I like it. I'm sure the size L would have been unflatteringly snug. I really like the close fit, high, modest neckline and the 3/4 length sleeves as this style is fuss-free and works well with so many of the things in my closet. The fabric is fairly thick and has a bit of heft, but is not too heavy and it is completely opaque. It feels soft and has good elasticity so it won't loosen up too much over the course of the day and it won't stretch out of shape easily. This is a nice, basic t-shirt and there is nothing delicate or flimsy about it. The shirt is well made with even stitching and nicely finished seams. I ordered the dark grey color which is a versatile shade and it will be great for casual wear this fall and winter. I found the recommendation to hand-wash a bit ridiculous. I would expect to hand-wash silk or something delicate and/or pricey, but a t-shirt? I will wash this mostly cotton t-shirt in cold water and a gentle cycle + hang it up to dry, but that is the extent of TLC it will receive. And if it doesn't hold up, it must not have been of very good quality to begin with. The current price of $16.99 seems a bit high, but clothing with a high cotton content is getting harder to find and can be pricey and this is certainly less than some premium brands. I like the shirt enough to pay the price and will probably pick up one or two more in other colors.
