Our daughter loves beads and her favorite colors are pink and purple so this was the perfect choice. We have purchased several Melissa & Doug's products in the past and have always been impressed with the quality. These pearls are no exception. They are small but the product clearly indicates the age these pearls are suitable for. Our five year old had no problem manipulating them on the strings. There are many beads in the set. What's really nice is the variety (shape, size, texture) - flowers, butterflies, bears, stars, hearts. A few more clasps in the set would be helpful as we have run out. The storage box is sturdy, but it's worth locking the lid when not in use to avoid spills.
