To our surprise, these aren't just pencil sharpeners, they're clockwork typewriters (not in the product description, but in the video). My kids love passing it to each other across the table. The pencil shaving compartment is quite small. Usually we need to empty it after sharpening 1-2 pencils. There are no extra spare blades, but there are 4 automatic sharpeners in the package. A very fun way to keep our pencils sharp!
