I'm about to buy a second one but have read it's not the derailleur: I bought one of these and the other shifter at the same time for $10 each. The other didn't have adapters that fit like this blue one, so I decided which I like better (this one). The adapter from THIS knob got stuck in another shift knob that I like too (I like the weighted knobs, this one not t weighted but blue nice) - so I'm buying it again as buying adapters costs almost the same - and I can switch grips when my mood changes. Win Win! It's not 5 stars just because there's already a chip in the blue color with a very basic finish, but hey - that shipped for $10 so what do you expect? It's not a $75 shift knob. EDIT I dropped to 1 star because my replacement shift knob also has 3 adapters of the same size making this second purchase worthless. Buy elsewhere they don't know what they are doing. Both photos show two different packages.
