Ordered these to mount an old pair of Bose 151's that a friend gave me on my patio. Easy installation under the ceiling with two screws. They seem strong enough but have a lot of "recoil" - they flex a little since they are made of ABS plastic. I have them at an angle. If the speakers were a bit heavier, they probably wouldn't be powerful enough. If you can install them straight down, you shouldn't have a problem. I have no reason to believe they will ever fail. One star off because they are a bit wobbly.
