The design is broken and stretched; Polka dots look like an egg oval.
Normally I'd be happy with the $20 I spent on these two polka dot rugs, except; the polka dots are OVALS which do not represent an image. Instead of circles, they are egg-shaped. While I disagree with the design, I let you know that the edges are not straight cut or hemmed. If you are a perfectionist, this product will disappoint you. If you just need something cheap to keep your feet off the cold tiles, they will work just as well as any other rug. I'm currently using them for a different purpose than when I bought them, so yes, soft and soft ovals, no polka dots.
