This is one of those tools that I rarely need but don't have a spare. When wrapping the outer skin in aluminum I prefer to make my own "sub-fairing" and insert latches along the edges of the skin so they can be latched onto the sub-fairing. The result is an aluminum fairing with no exposed fasteners that not only looks better but eliminates the possibility of fasteners loosening over time. For this to work I need to be able to control the distance from the edge of the aluminum rosette to the latch; and this is the only tool (that I know of) that lets you set that distance - not to mention it creates nicer piercings than most similar tools. After purchasing I found out that it can also be used to attach end caps to the gutter; and it came in handy. The last time I bought something like this was over 25 years ago. The price has more than doubled in that time, but the only major change to the tool is that it now has a lock to keep it closed when not in use.
