Better than expected for the price
I'm learning blacksmithing and forging and being able to get the most accurate temperature really helped me to know the 'color' of a given temperature range. It's also great for knowing how hot my forge is at a given propane PSI, knowing the temp of my quench oil, and knowing the temp of a piece of steel; Once it's no longer red, it can still be 600F(+) and look completely black.
