I received the model with a blue matte finish to emphasize the silver and gold text on my certificate. The finish is nice and I really like the color contrast. On the back you'll find one of those alligator tooth hangers at the top and one on the long side. They are not exactly square to the frame, but the picture will hang just right. There's also one of those retractable coasters on the back, limited by a little tape to prevent the coaster from opening too wide, which could cause the painting to fall off. However, when you use the frame on the wall, the cord dangles and you have to tape it down or something to keep it out of sight. The back cardboard is held in place by flexible metal grommets that need to take a few flexes back and forth before they break - no problem if you just frame the item and leave it alone. I'm glad I paid a little more for this frame. . This really makes the certificate stand out that I replaced. I don't think I would have been as happy with a simpler frame without a mat. A general certificate is included with the frame, which you can fill out and show if you cannot finance the printing of a separate certificate.
