The water and chips box is no longer attached to the body of the smoker. As a result, I lost a lot of heat, moisture and smoke. This is due to gaskets deforming, rivets coming out etc. To keep my drawer nice and tidy I used these latches to solve this problem. Since my smoker's main door had the same latch, it was easier for me to mark where to install the latches on the main body and the front of the drawer. Conclusion: My smoker no longer runs down the front of the drawer. I've noticed shorter cooking times with better moisture and heat retention. Also, the cabinet no longer takes forever to reach the set smoking temperature and recovers quickly once the door has been opened to inspect food. I am satisfied with this product and will buy it again if necessary.
