Sure rattles and rattles instantly, it's an adjustable hitch. There's no set screw to prevent rattling (probably due to stripping discomfort), but there's a rubber bumper to help. Personally, I removed the pressure bumper and screwed two round rubber "footpads" onto the back of the ball. Attachment section that abuts against the clutch channel. I also added thin rubber pads to each side of the ball mount to prevent lateral rattling in the channel. For the pins I added a layer of transparent 3M bra to take up the slack in the pin holes. Lastly I had some 3M foil tape so I wrapped the Stinger to prevent dirt from getting into the truck. Now reliable - no rattling and works great with RockerBall!
