I bought this cover for my key fob because sometimes the buttons get accidentally pressed when the key fob is rolling around in my pocket. For example, one evening the tailgate button was apparently accidentally pressed. I didn't know that until morning. Because the lights in the car were on all night, the battery in my new car was dead when I drove out the next morning. Luckily I was able to remove the battery from my wife's car and didn't waste too much time getting to where I needed to go. However, this case got me thinking about how to prevent this from happening again. Some early mornings I noticed my car door wasn't locked, but I didn't know why. Again, the release button must have been pressed when the key fob rolled into my pocket. Recently purchased Buffway car key case prevents accidental button presses. I haven't had a single problem since I started using the case about ten days ago. When I first got the case, I put my key fob inside and pressed the case to see if anything happened to my car. If you press hard on the outside of the case, the buttons will work, yes, but the buttons are unlikely to be pressed that hard when coins or other keys are in your pocket. The case is attractive, looks well made and is smaller than some of the alternatives I've found by searching Revain and the web. The case is just the right size to fit around a keychain, yet small enough that I don't mind carrying it in my pocket all day at work. If you have a car start button and key fob you may find this product helpful when you have problems like mine.
