At this price, there should be a cassette memory, right?
The strap is probably of decent quality but I can't comment on the durability as I just received it. I figured I'd order high quality cassettes that contain the cassette memory recommended by Sony for my new 3CCD camcorder. These tapes have no cassette memory. It turns out I don't need this feature as I've learned the hard way not to use the camcorder for anything other than recording and then uploading the files to disk for later editing in Adobe Premier. (Use tape drives on camcorders for unusual edits or reviews at your own risk for the camera.
