Review on πŸ”§ Permatex 85188 Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lube: Superior Lubrication in Convenient 0.5 oz. Size by Brian Vasquez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great brake lube, would like to buy a larger container

Well about two years ago I changed the brake pads and calipers and then over the summer I had a slight vibration in the steering wheel. I felt it on the driver's side front tire and noticed that my brakes squeaked and were spongy when stopping, which I found odd. When I got home I took the wheels off thinking maybe the caliper had rust from the bad Wisconsin winter had something left on the pins, I just smeared it around. Needless to say it came back about 2 months later when a pin on the driver's side was dry, I'm really surprised it didn't pinch me completely, well that's all aside I'm applying the anti-seize liberally again , and thought I was done, but my brakes still felt a little spongy. Well I started hearing it again this spring which was about 6-8 months after the two incidents and I felt the wobble in my steering wheel again and thought shit I'd just have to redo the caliper at that point , I call one of mine a good friend who is a Ford mechanic and he tells me to stop using copper anti-seize which oddly is made by Permatax and switch to either that or ceramic lube for Switch to extreme brake parts as they seem to work much better knowing I don't make brakes Very often I just buy the small 5oz ones. a bottle to try and in the last 7 months i have seen better braking performance and my brakes are no longer spongy at a price i would happily buy more who would have thought extreme pressure was my problem all the time.
