These lights are beautiful and make our patio and fire pit magical! They come without bulbs in the sockets, which is good for protecting the bulbs, but a bit of a hassle to hang (not too bad). My bulbs arrived with 3 blown but there were 4 extras (I think it was supposed to be 5 extras) so we had enough to leave all the work lights with one. The end of the connector is about 6-12 inches from the first bulb and the other end has a bulb at the very end. I don't think I knew before I bought it, but each socket has a clip-on loop. This was very handy for connecting the thicker wire I bought in the light hanging kit. We also used zip ties to attach the light thread to some of the hooks. When we plugged them in, some of them didn't light up, but that was remedied by tightening the bulb a bit. I hope they make it through the rain and winter (TN will let you know if there are any problems). Overall I would recommend these lights, especially at this price point for the length! Update: I contacted the company about the broken/missing lightbulbs and they immediately apologized and sent me more than enough to replace them and some extras! Wonderful customer experience!
