Review on 🚪 Summer Infant 27903Z Banister & Stair Safety Gate: Extra Wide Door, Metal, 31"-46" - White - Easy Access & Security by Stephanie Wilson

I ordered this gate and found 3 safety issues with the product upon delivery, one of which relates to quality control. Went to the manufacturer but they won't let you send a message longer than 400 characters to even remotely tell them. Since I threw away all the packaging I couldn't return it without crafting or finding the box so I took out a loan from Revain to get 50% of my money back and threw it away. The first problem was bad, sloppy welds (A. Left gate mount) preventing both (D. Hinge mount covers) from staying in place. Seems like pinching them for little fingers would be easy without them. The second issue is if you are following the instructions to attach one side to the wall and you have a baseboard you will need to use washers but they only include 2 washers and the instructions do not say leave washers at the bottom mounting hole so there are inches of sharp threads exposed and are right within reach of children's fingers and look sticky. PROVIDE A THIRD SEAL. The third problem is that if you're planning to mount on one side of the wall and you have baseboard and need to use these standoffs, the screws end up being comically short since they don't even go through the drywall. You must include longer screws for this mounting option. I ended up throwing this one away and ordering a much more expensive custom gate. Look elsewhere
