I like these plastic boards because I don't have to worry about them soaking up anything. The slim profile makes it easy to store. Their light weight and flexibility make them easy to carry and drop food into the pot or pan you are cooking in. As with any cutting board, cuts will become apparent over time, but not deep enough to be a concern. There is a small smooth area at the top of each board which I think is for writing if you want to mark the boards (e.g. fruit/veg/meat). I don't recommend using it to cut meat as it doesn't have a ridge/grooved edge to catch liquid. I prefer the progressive cutting board for this. If Linden Sweden would release another version of their boards, like the Progressive cutting board (thicker and grooved) but in nice colors I would buy it.
