This was exactly what I was looking for. Once paired with your phone (I have a Galaxy S5) it syncs instantly when you turn it on. The handlebar mount is secure as it will not come off while riding on the road. The headlight looks more like a flashlight, but that's okay. It emits a beam that resembles a portable emergency light. I also have an LED on the grill that blinks faster than the LED on this speaker. I use the Zealot as a headlamp and the LED on my bike light as an emergency when I'm out between 11pm and 2am. Warning drinkers. So far, so good! The SD card slot is a great feature. There is no shuffle function, so make a good choice for your trip. You can use the + and - buttons to switch between tracks forwards and backwards. The speaker can be turned on loud enough to hear on windy rides. Not much bass power. Anyway, I don't think it would come from any bike speaker. I take this speaker off the steering wheel and listen to music at work (I'm a chef in my kitchen). It has amazing battery life. I climbed 4 days. I haven't charged my phone with it yet, but I see this will do.
