I bought the updated version and it was way better than I expected. This monitor costs $40 and is very easy to set up. Instructions were not given, but they were not required either. It's basically plug and play with different types of inputs. However, the monitor does not have internal speakers, but you can easily find cheap speakers designed specifically for this model. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008D2IHES/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I am very happy with this product and don't think I will need to upgrade until 4K becomes cheap.
