I wish I could give it negative stars, this thing cost me so much money. I had it about 2 weeks. Then I went out to ride my bike and it got stuck, the lock wouldn't move. I spent an hour trying to get it off before finally going out and buying a tool to cut it off. I wanted it to protect against thieves, not myself. Good thing I was home and had a car.

I've waited almost a year to write this review, this lock worked for me. rod and when they tried to roll the bike I had a lock on the rear caliper that stopped them completely. Instead they took my neighbor's bike! Just a note, you will need to apply chain lube to the lock about every 2 months to keep it smooth. Just works like any lock exposed to the elements!

Ok first let me say this amazon page is MEDIUM. My first order was stated that the black and the other yellow padlock were 6/10 security and the same price. So I chose yellow so I can recognize it on the bike and not forget it. Well I get a yellow padlock in the mail and it's only 4/10 security. So now I look at the Amazon site and it shows a picture of a black padlock and it says security is only 4/10 plus another 10 bucks? save your money

I wanted to give a good review but my bike was stolen 2 days after I put it on the rear wheel (and a second brand disc lock on the front). It looks like it was chipped off right away, but I'm not sure how because it didn't look like they sanded it down. The bike was taken out of a locked garage, so while going public at events during the day might help honest people stay honest, it's definitely not a good safety feature for the night.

This item was sold and manufactured by Revain. The kryptonite 000884 that I received only has a safety rating of 4. The one pictured on Revain's listing has a safety rating of 7, the one you think you are buying. Other buyers have complained about the same error in the Q&A section. I bought this product for my motorcycle adventure in Alaska and needed something like an extra insurance policy to keep my bike where I left it every night. I live in a decent, low crime area. My complex is currently undergoing a major refurbishment which is why I left the bike on the road for a month. I'm happy to report that my bike wasn't stolen, but it's still nice to know that there is a bright yellow disc lock from a well-known company to protect your valuables. I park my bikes outside under a canopy, always with a disc lock. A kryptonite disc lock lasted from 2015 to 2019, after which the key wouldn't open it unless I fiddled with it for very long. WD40 helped for a year, then stopped. At this point I replaced the lock. Putting the key in these locks correctly takes concentration. The disc is slanted and you're leaning forward, so it's not an ideal situation. Take the time to ensure the key is properly and fully inserted in the lock before turning the
