Fits my iPad Air 2 without a case, instructions required

When I first opened up the Startrc phone/tablet holder box I thought I was missing the 'rod' that attaches the controller to the tablet bracket attached. . I looked at the bottom of the box but it wasn't there. I then looked for directions, thinking I was missing something, but there weren't any. I looked the box over and over, looking for a diagram or text for instructions, but couldn't find it. There is plenty of free space on the outside of the box for printing a diagram or instructions, but the manufacturer didn't use it. You didn't even have to print an extra insert, just print on one of the blank panels. At that time there were no instructions on the product page. In the end, I found that the pole piece wasn't missing, it's actually pulled from the left and right sides to the center of the element that connects to the controller. As it rises, it forms a ball joint, to which part of the tablet holder attaches. This is actually a brilliant design as it makes the holder more portable and captive. The tablet/phone holder connects with a ball joint and there is a threaded part that allows you to rotate and tighten the cellphone to the desired position. This allows the holder to be positioned horizontally or vertically. The screw part is made of plastic and has plastic threads, so this part is likely to wear out and cannot be tightened due to the stress required to keep the mobile device in place when carried. This screw tensioner is probably the first weak point for this accessory. The sides (or top/bottom depending on location) of the holder expand to firmly hold your phone or tablet. I suspect that over time the spring mechanism will likely be the next part to fail, but for now it holds the tablet in place nicely. The added bonus of a controller strap really helps when you need your hands temporarily. for something else. I've often wondered why DJI hasn't made this a permanent part of the controller. Startrc also includes a storage bag to keep all the parts together. The base of the device that connects to the controller is made of hard, rubberized silicone, while the part of the tablet holder is made of hard plastic.
