Grind with a good range from slightly matte to fine undertones
EP 400 is the best EP grind for EDC. However, Spyderco Medium works best on modern steels because it is a stronger stone. But as for EP, you only need 220 and 400 for EDC. Any EP below 400 will sharpen the saw and dull your blade. EP 400 works well for touching up modern steels (of course some of these boutique steels come with no guarantees!)
