Review on Dunham Dark Brown Lexington Athletic Men's Shoes for Men by Douglas Berry

Looks good but causes severe pronation

I really want to like these shoes. They look really cool, but they force you to walk on the inner arches of your feet, putting most of the pressure of walking on the inner walls of these shoes and not the soles. This overpronation causes my collar to change, which I find not only unnatural but also potentially dangerous given the possible foot, ankle, knee, hip, and lower back problems that are possible with collar overpronation, quite to the point not to mention the possibility of twisting your ankle or even falling and injuring yourself. I also have little confidence that they will withstand such heavy pressure on the sidewalls rather than the heels. Really disappointing as they look great again but I am returning them rather than learning to walk again and risking physical problems. Sounds like the shoe company knows better.

Pros
  • Excellent support. Walk on concrete all day. The best shoes I've ever worn.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people requiring orthopedic shoes.
