Review on 🚰 Quality Chrome Laundry Faucet: American Standard 2475.540.002 Colony Soft with Double-Handle, Brass Swing Spout, and Hose End by Michael Robinson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

good faucet, excellent value for money, needs better listing (US norm 2475.540)

Straight out of the box this is a beautiful faucet. It has a heavy, hard feel and an ultra-smooth finish. Handles and spout rotate smoothly. It has much better water flow than the cheap generic faucets our contractor installed years ago that were ugly and difficult to use. Use the third hole in the center It doesn't have an aerator despite the picture US 2475,550 (same picture) has an aerator, but Revain is currently $18 more and doesn't appear to have a hose connector. Danco 10488 is about $3 at Revain if you want to add an aerator to this faucet (I'm pretty sure you'll want the 3/4 inch version). The kit includes plastic nuts that attach the faucet to the sink or countertop, and brass nuts to attach the supply lines. There is a plastic seal between the faucet and the sink. No actual umbilicals included, too many options to fit in one box. In our case, I simply continued to use the existing supply lines and didn't even have to remove them. I put this faucet on a sink with a tank on top. Previously, I placed Lowe's "Project Source" faucet on the double-tub sink in the basement that gets the most abuse. It's about half the price but includes a detachable aerator that uses a 3/4-inch garden hose connector. Best of both worlds, a big step up from what it used to be, but not as beautiful and durable as the standard American faucet. To replace both faucets, I sealed the top and bottom with a plastic gasket. I used Elmer's sealer which came in a plastic bottle years ago and somehow didn't dry out. Too bad they don't make it. Also, I think that's why other sealers dry out no matter what you do. Cleaning with a damp paper towel was nice. I don't endorse that. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but it doesn't seem to hurt.
