I have had problems with people handling delivered packages that have been left outside my apartment door. My postman didn't always knock loud enough for me to hear exactly when they were delivered. These "cameras" are so similar to the real ones that I don't have any problems now. I took my small step stool and drilled holes above the door for installation and then ordered "Smile - you're in the frame!" signs for my door as I didn't think the provided signs were clear enough (they were also written in English and Chinese, which I feel might make this warning too general for my specific needs) and I wanted a less negative message to be conveyed to visitors than "Warning! Property is under video surveillance!" for me this is also a more general and often ignored message, especially for a single dwelling. It came in a pack of two and my neighbor across the hall jumped at the chance to have me install one above his apartment. This gives me even more reassurance as now people believe his home is also being monitored because he finds it difficult to say no to someone knocking on his door. it helped him stay away from troublemakers and reduced stress for both him and me. (Not until he knows they're fake. 😉)
