Although this is my first time installing this type of water filtration system, the installation wasn't that difficult. The instructions were decent but I would recommend reading all of the instructions first before attempting to install the water system. There were no problems with the installation. Works very well, great guide. I wish the UV light didn't heat the water so much. The water is really very warm. I noticed that another buyer has instructions from APEC for installing UV in front of all filters. This solved the hot water problem. Having a UV filter in the first place, IMO, that's how it should be connected. This eliminates the hot water problem and protects the filters from bacterial contamination. When I change filters, I defiantly switch lines to a UV filter.

Our family no longer buys bottled water. We've had this for over two years now and no problems. We changed filters as recommended, added UV light and a mineral cartridge. This is not a paid review. I installed it yesterday and here are my observations: - The installation was relatively quick. All the plug-in connections made the connection less painful. The bracket that holds the 3-stage filter is incredibly cheap and flimsy. Very good system. I attached it to the garage wall and routed the hoses through the wall to the sink. This works very well. Despite the unusual placement, installation took only half a day. TDS went from 380 to 3 or 4. (TDS testers are $15. Buy one.) The installation guide was very clear, with part color codes and well annotated photos. July 2019 Update: Purchased April 2017 Still stable after more than 2 years of use. However, it filters the water as mentioned below. First rating: My tap water (city water) has 40 ppm. With this reverse osmosis system I get 2-3 ppm. FYI, distilled water should be zero ppm. My city water is about 40 psi; Even at this pressure, the reverse osmosis system works well. Used the system for 5 months. It was a great system, installation was easy except the new homes didn't use PEX piping and had to spend $50 on fittings and such to get everything right. If you had standard valves under the sink it would be a no-brainer!
