Review on Orange Standard ADS B Carrier Board by Robert Sorrells

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Buggy and PSU suck

I bought this unit to replace my Pixhawk 2.4.8 clone and to be honest it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The Powebrick mini does not accurately record current below 6 amps (when the motor is off it reads 0.0) and the voltage is always around 0.3. ADSB works very well which is why it gets 3 stars but the rest of this module is not worth the price I would say. PX4 is not supported yet, which means the only firmware option is ardupilot. This isn't necessarily an issue if you don't have a Mac, but it would be nice to have native QGC support with the PX4. The firmware is also still buggy and occasionally has random issues, such as: B. RSSI is not displayed or calculated correctly or the serial port baud rate settings are changed after the USB connection is disconnected. If you really need an ADSB this is the obvious choice but otherwise I would buy another flight controller that is cheaper and better supported.
