The TPMS sensors in my car failed because of this. Diagnostic tests showed it was running at the same frequency as the sensors and was overloading them, causing the problem. It costs $130 to diagnose and fix the problem. It took 3 service people to finally find the problem. They reset the sensors 3 times and the light came back on within 2 miles while I was still plugging this unit into the cigarette lighter port. When the latter figured out what the real problem was, he removed the Bluetooth device and recalibrated the sensors. After that there were no more problems.
