I purchased this for a gift. I was unsure about what it would look like or the size, or if would appear cheap or a good piece of jewelry. It is beyond my expectations 10 fold. It is just beautiful. The front of the pendant, has the tree of life, while the reverse side can be worn as the abalone is fully visible, encased in the silver ring. Basically, you get two pendants for the price of one. The abalone is beyond pretty. The chain is not "cheap looking" like some chains you get with silver. It's a item that should have cost more than it did, and I have this and another in my "saved" items because I plan on buying more for gifts in the future.
