Doesn't work in portable

I bought this unit to replace an 8000 BTU system that is on its last legs. It is claimed to be a 10,000 BTU system capable of cooling a large enough room to 62°F. In my experience, it just doesn't work as anything other than an expensive, fat fan. The photo I've attached is after over an hour of running in my bedroom (which is less than 350 square feet) with the door closed. The desired temperature was set to 62, the fan speed was set to high and as you can see after an hour the actual room temperature is 71°F. The starting temperature was 73°F. I am very disappointed in this product.
