Review on Kanto FMX3 Articulating 40 Inch 90 Inch by Cory Whitney

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Very disappointed - faulty hardware. It is not possible to use the articulation movement functions if the TV is not pointed towards the floor.

I chose this wall mount for my Sony 65" TV because I read a lot of good reviews, saw installation videos and wanted a really stable big TV mount that I can move. Let me start by saying this thing is a beast. It weighs more than the TV I installed on it, even though the TV itself only weighs 52 pounds. It's actually not bad, but just something to consider when installing. Well I wanted to have a swivel mount so I could easily move the TV around if I needed a different look. I can't do that with this Kanto FMX3. I've only moved the TV from its home position a few times and regretted it. The hardware that prevents the TV from tilting up and down is defective. The brackets are very tight, making it difficult to slide them in or out, which means the hardware for the rest of the TV will loosen if you push or pull the TV. , If you move the TV, it detaches and points to the floor. - no matter what point you hold onto to move it. I'm so worried it will fail completely or render the hardware useless that I don't move the TV at all. For the very high price of this device I really expected more. I paid for the install so I won't be returning it now and need to do another install or else I would be returning it. I would give it 1 star but it holds my TV securely to the wall so I guess it's not too bad. If you buy this I would save over $100 and buy a stationary unit. if so, it definitely will - or try another brand.
