Review on πŸ”Œ Rally 200W Power Inverter with USB Port, Cup Holder-friendly Design, Dual USB Ports & 120VAC Outlets (7413) by Julio Roberts

Cool design and cheap

I've had it for 6 months now and it's fine. It works to power a laptop or charge camera batteries, but it doesn't do much more than that. The design is too heavy and if your cup holder doesn't fit perfectly, the inverter can tip over. Small plastic plugs are very cheap, have sharp edges, and don't fit well. Usually the lids stay open because they don't flex enough to stay in place or simply pop open from such a poor fit. The USB port cover came off and never fitted, even from day one. When switched on, the device is quite loud if you are in a quiet environment. However, when driving on the road, listening to music and turning on the air conditioner, the noise from the inverter is noticeable, but insignificant. After operating the device for about 30 minutes, you will notice a significant amount of heat coming out of the vent. As a result, if I use it to charge my laptop for a few hours, I turn mine off to cool down. One thing I like is that the USB port is a passive passthrough even when the device is powered off. So, in my synced Ford truck, if the USB port is disabled when the truck is off, I can still charge my phone with this device without turning on the inverter.

Pros
  • Low battery cut off prevents battery drain
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
