I just installed two of these wall panels on 01/30/16. Very happy with how the installation went, the only thing that surprised me was the 14 gauge cable. I'm not sure if I missed it in the description or not but I was surprised. Both plates had metal wings and ran very smoothly. The sockets themselves have these protective inserts that require a lot of pressure to get the plug into the socket. Regarding the dimensions, I made a 7" x 7" square and then further trimmed the drywall if needed. This provided a snug fit. The only thing I would change about the product is that I wanted to close the gap that you run video cables through. I'm not a big fan of leaving a hole between my room and an interior wall. I cut off some foam to close the crescent's gap.
