Unfortunately, I bought these boots for hiking and it was only after a year or so that I realized they weren't waterproof. Stepping into a puddle that barely reached my soles, I immediately felt water soak through. If I hadn't waited so long to test them they would have been sent back to the manufacturer and I would have asked for a refund. Due to the fact that I didn't go hiking, I wore them to work around the house and also noticed a lump on my left foot. Maybe it's the insole but it's very annoying and afraid it would rub my foot or cause problems when I go for a long hike in it. These are very light boots as advertised but I would not buy again or recommend them due to poor waterproofing.
