I have a Sabrent 4TB m.2 NVME PCIe 3.0 drive that I purchased this enclosure for. A 4TB drive is expensive and a bit thicker than most NVME drives because it has multi-layered NAND on both sides to achieve that amount of storage. Pros: I was able to use the adapter without fully installing m. 2. Cons: I couldn't mount my m.2 drive because the NAND flash on the back raised the profile of the drive and prevented the plastic retaining clip from snapping into place. I have successfully used other enclosures with this 4TB Sabrent drive and have confirmed that other drives fit properly in this RSHTECH enclosure (particularly drives that do not have NAND on both sides). I took some trouble installing the plastic retaining clip. but I was beginning to suspect that the NAND on the bottom of the drive might be damaged, and a $400 drive is more important than getting a $20 adapter to work. I could not get this adapter to work for my purposes. It remains to be hoped that the manufacturer will remedy this defect in their product. If you are looking for cases I would suggest other better designed cases, but if you are only interested in drives with single sided NAND cases then this would be the device to go for.
