If, like me, you always work alone, bleeding your brakes can be your Achilles heel. You don't need any help with this tool. Combine this tool with a power bleeder and you have everything you need to bleed air from any brake system. The check valve works as intended and prevents air from flowing back into the system when the bleed screw is tightened. They also have a lot of hose. Almost too much. At first I wanted to cut something off, but decided to leave it. Also, the hose is not the cheap aquarium hose or plastic hose you typically see. It's thick and very flexible. Maybe silicone? It's not as clear as cheap plastic tubing, but air bubbles are still clearly visible. The hose is attached with spring clips. When I disassembled it to clean I lost one of the clamps and used a tiny worm gear clamp. I installed the check valve backwards and it immediately popped up in my next bleed project. If I remember correctly there are tiny arrows on the check valve showing the direction of flow. You were very smart not to remove the wrench from the hose. IT CANNOT BE DETACHED FROM THE HOSE. All in all a great product. I'll probably buy another one for my travel tool box. This product cleans well and takes up little space. Finally I used denatured alcohol to clean it. I'm not sure what to use. This caused the hose to fog up a bit. However, I've used it many times since then and you can still see liquid and bubbles moving through it very easily. product +++!
