I'm not giving 1 star because I'm not sure if that's really the reason, but the SSD worked fine with a regular SATA connection. It seemed normal for a while, but suddenly one day after a reboot all data was done. Before that, the SSD went through hundreds of reboots on a SATA connection and had no signs of problems with it and still no other signs of problems. While this cable may not be the culprit, it seems an odd coincidence that the drive failed shortly after switching to this cable. I like the design of the cable. It's small and fits well on an SSD, for example, although it doesn't have a connector for extra power if you want to use a 3.5-inch magnetic hard drive. On the other hand, it can work well without extra power. I didn't try. That. So if it weren't for that one data corruption issue, I'd still recommend the cable. As for the corruption, it says the "lost" partition is unrecoverable, so I don't have that shortcut to get my 2-3TB files back
