Review on 🚴 LEZYNE Saddle Bag Caddy by Kurt Manning

Revainrating 4 out of 5

X-Large really is X-Large.

Lezyne tends to have products aimed at cyclists serious enough to consider packing all the necessary parts. And they tend to give them a certain polish that most other bike products don't have. This is my second Lezyne saddlebag for my daily commuter MTB bike. My mountain bike and I have ridden A LOT together and I ride all year round in all weather conditions. The previous one had what appeared to be a growing hole on one side because the velcro was rubbing against it. and here the flypaper failed. He lasted a few years and survived the saddle, so. not that bad. You have a good chance of mounting two MTB tires. In the box. as well as all necessary tools in this saddlebag. The big one was damn big and usually two hoses fit in there, but it was always a bit tight and you had to take them out of the box. I'm guessing a classic style frame where the top tube is parallel to the ground. This may not work if the seat post is pointing towards the bottom of its extension. Because it's really big. It doesn't look quite like some classic rando/retrogrouch style saddlebags (not to be confused with panniers - these are fairly large "carradice" style bags), but it's still larger than any other saddlebag. -Pocket. They fixed one of the issues I had with the previous version. You no longer have Velcro hanging around like it used to. but I guess I won't be able to talk about lightning for a few years. As usual there are good pockets that fit snugly on other Lezyne attachments and should fit just about anything else (I use a Lezyne multi-tool and there's always a pocket for it, but just about any tire changer will do). The only downside is that the light isn't necessarily directed exactly where it should be. It tends to point down rather than level. Unless the bag is full.

Pros
  • BE VISIBLE IN ALL CONDITIONS - Reflective logos and a taillight loop enhance night-time visibility, making this bag reliable for visibility in all weather conditions.
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
