I always feel guilty using plastic utensils and styrofoam paper products. Sure, they're good for any event you host, but they're a real environmental nightmare. I received this complete set of plastic cutlery and plates for a small BBQ last weekend. I was happy with having ordered something organic, but was a little concerned that the plates would break with use. Or that they smell funny. The box contained a full set of plates and dishes for 50 people. Plastic utensils are as durable and comfortable as anything I've ever used from any manufacturer. The plates were strong too. According to the manufacturer, they are BPA-free and can be used in the freezer, refrigerator and microwave. Although the plates were very strong, I put some in a small bucket of water overnight and the next morning they began to crack. Nothing had a specific smell. I have some left over from this weekend's event but will be ordering an extra set so I have more. I highly recommend it. I was very happy with my first application.
