I've never had a problem with KMC chains. I installed this new chain on my road bike and have had nothing but problems since. Once I put it on, the chain slipped on climbs or when jumping 4 or 5 gears in a shift. I blamed the bike for everything except the new chain. I even did a few favors by having a local bike mechanic rebuild my entire bike to find and fix the problem. He did a great job (and taught me a lot) but the problem still persisted. I finally gave up and ordered a different chain (SRAM this time) and what's the difference. When I removed the KMC from my bike all the links are locked and difficult to turn. I noticed this when I bought it but assumed they would loosen up after a few rides. I think I was lucky that I only spent a few hundred dollars on the setup and price of the chain, but it could have been a lot worse, especially if it had happened in a race. I will never buy a KMC network again
