Review on Camco Olympian GM-3X Gas Match: Adjustable Flame, Refillable with Lighter Fuel, Fuel Viewing Window & Safety Lock (57549) by Russell Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This appears to be the best lighter of its type

I used a cheap long tip disposable butane lighter for my wood stove and was looking for a more durable version of the same product that was reusable. After scouring the entire internet and other similar Revain products, I decided to give the Camco Gas match a try. Now that I've used it I think I'll be very happy with it. It's longer than I'd like (only 26 inches) but it's very durable and can be refueled. Camco uses an AA battery to create a spark that ignites the butane. Others have complained that it's difficult to use, but for me it's actually easier to use than my current cheap long-tipped disposable lighter. My current lighter requires you to push the slider forward with your thumb (hard!) at the same time withdraw your index finger. It often takes me two or three thumb pushes forward to unlock the lock so I can move my finger back. All in all, it's pretty annoying. Camco also requires you to push the slider forward with your thumb, but pushing forward is much easier and seems to work every time. No deduction. They have a button under the thumb that's easy to press, under the same thumb I press forward with, and there's another button. on the bottom of the lighter, on which you must press Mama. To ignite the flame, it is not necessary to use your finger on the trigger. Needless to say, no child, or even another adult who hasn't read the instructions, could carelessly pick up a Camco and accidentally light it.
