In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, it performs its function with a bang. If there was a backlight on the screen, there would be no price at all. Got pros: Great thermometer, shows temperature accurately. Small size, can be built into the wall when living. Some cons: Came with dead batteries, had to go to the store and buy new ones.
