The skirt looks exactly like the photo and the fabric is what I expected. What I didn't expect was how small it was and didn't fit well in the base of my 7ft real tree (but that's my fault, not theirs). The 42" size has a radius of only 18" from center to outseam, and the center hole is only 3" in diameter. So if you have a large Christmas tree stand with screws all around, this won't fit. around the tree. This skirt is definitely better for a small space and an artificial tree with a very small pole (which is the majority). I can't use a skirt, but it was a good lesson - there are skirts that fit fake trees (like this one), but I'll look for a new one that's bigger in both the center and the brim.
