I've worn cotton socks my whole life. This is my first time trying bamboo material. Packing: congratulations to the seller, the goods are not overloaded. I received mine in a plain nylon pouch with paper ties holding the pairs together. I wish the nylon bag was paper too. Socks: The socks are quite thick, like all sports socks. The inside of these socks has the texture of a towel. The sole of the socks is reinforced and much thicker than the upper part. The upper is indeed mesh-like, although the inner texture is more or less the same as the bottom. However, when you tighten or stretch them, they appear translucent. These socks are quite soft even before washing, although the manufacturer says they get even softer after washing. The socks are quite elastic and fit my feet well. Socks usually have the problem of not being high enough, but in this respect they are perfect. I wore them with trekking shoes and they kept the shoes from touching my ankle and irritating my skin. I felt my feet were stable and protected in the shoes. I usually have a problem unlacing my boots, for some reason this didn't happen with these socks. Overall these are good socks and I'm happy with them after the first three days. Highly recommended.
