Review on Microwave Cleaner Cleaners Cleaning Equipment by Amy Perry

That does not work. Bonus: Your house will smell like sauerkraut

This might work for very small microwaves. I have 1.7cu. ft. 1200 watt microwave which isn't the biggest but still a decent size and power. During my test run, the microwave was a bit spattered. Not a disgusting crust but sort of a dry squirt from a bowl of soup. I followed the instructions exactly. I turned on the microwave for 7 minutes at maximum power. The only patches of dirt that came loose were just under her head when the plate was spun. (Don't put it right in the middle of the plate or just one spot will steam.) What I ended up with was a ring of slightly damp soup splatters that wouldn't rub off easily anyway. Requires a cleanup which defeats the purpose. I immediately attempted to wipe up the spills after the microwave turned off, so that was the best result I could have hoped for. Nothing behind that ring was even wet. Spatter on the door? Forget it. I noticed that after 7 minutes there was still a lot of water and vinegar in the steamer. My microwave boils water in 2.5 minutes, so maybe 7 minutes isn't enough, or the holes in its head are too small. Anyway I wasn't happy with the vinegar waste despite it being so hard to find. Turning on the microwave for more than 7 minutes also seems wasteful. At least for me. I have a steam cleaner that can heat up a tank of water in a little longer. Has the added bonus of not making my house smell like vinegar.
