Mounting your TV on the wall is not a good idea unless you intend to leave it there for a long time. I chose it for my old 26 inch TV which is currently in my bedroom. This type of stand is a good option instead of changing my wall if I might change my mind later. This particular stand is designed for 32"-55" TVs, but I chose it for my 26" TVs because stands for this size don't offer the height I need. There is a bar on the back of my TV that the brackets attach to and they are a lot longer than I need, but I was able to easily trim them with a hacksaw. I know this will void any warranty but the stand is very solid and I can't imagine it breaking due to any sort of defect. My TV is pretty chunky by today's standards, weighing about 17 pounds. The assembly instructions were ok. The images should be bigger and clearer, but I managed to piece them together in a few minutes. The cable management is not very good. It's just a couple of thin clips that attach to the back. A few things would have made this stand better: length-adjustable arms, pan and tilt functions, and cable routing that runs through the inside of the down tube. Overall though, for the price compared to similar products, this stand serves a purpose.
